2021 RAFFLE QUILT
Enchanted Garden by Kim Schaefer. It is a wool hand appliquéd wall hanging 49X49 inches. It will come with a wood hanger custom made by Jerry Adams.

***MEETINGS, PROGRAMS & CLASSES ARE BEING PLANNED***
February 13th was our first meeting for 2021. We do have meetings and classes planned. Please see ‘WHAT IS COMING UP’, below. Please watch for updates on the website and in email throughout 2021. We will notify everyone of any changes as soon as we are aware. All is subject to change with COVID restrictions.
We will be having our next scheduled Guild meeting on Saturday, May 8th at 9:00am at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss. Program to be announced. Program will be – ‘Honoring our Mothers’. Please bring an item that reminds you of your mother or that has special memories. Perhaps something you sewed or made together, her favorite apron or a fun story to share.
WHAT IS COMING UP!!!!!
1st Friday, April 2nd, May 7th, June 4th Applique Classes
Trish Tuin will be teaching the scheduled 1st Friday Applique Sew Days. We are limited to 10 people and will be making a project which is 3 blocks. Each day is divided into different techniques. The first day is discussion about which supplies and fabric you will need to purchase for your project. We prefer you sign up and pay cash for all 3 classes $15 ($5.00×3 classes $15). It will be easier to give refunds in case a class has to be cancelled (COVID issues). The classes will be held in the Wheeler Room at Memorial Hall. Please contact Trish Tuin if you questions about the class. Please contact Alice McCracken if you would like to sign up. Bag class with Angie Jones from Hi Fashion. The guild members selected the ‘Road Trip’ bag. The date for the class will be announced with more information.
2021 BLOCK OF THE MONTH – APPLIQUE
Block of the Month Chair is Jan Lesser.
It is your choice of method for applique and you may but do not have to mirror the image when tracing. Also you may do them with the crayon method instead. Unlock your inner creativity when sewing these blocks. These are really darling blocks and great for a baby or child’s quilt or just for fun quilt for you. REMEMBER TO PRINT ACTUAL SIZE when printing from Adobe.
Unfinished block size is 12 1/2 inches; finished block size is 12 inches; there are 12 blocks
There will be a new block for each month. You will receive an email each month with 2 months of blocks. You may contact Jan(874-9878) for any questions. Thank you Jan
***2021 SEW DAYS ***
April – Last Tuesday, April 27th, 10:00am; this will be at the Maloney House on the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss. Please bring your drinks, snacks, and lunch along with your stitching projects. All are welcome.
April – Monday the 19th at 10:00am, Vet/Caring Quilts Sew Day at the North Fork Ambulance Training Center in Hotchkiss.
MEETINGS THAT ARE HELD INSIDE – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!
Masks are required to be worn by all attendees.
Maintain 6ft social distancing from people you do not live with or did not ride with you.
Hand Sanitizer and Sanitizing wipes will be available for the meeting times, classes, and special events at sign in table.
It is advisable that we disinfect(disinfectant wipes or spray) any areas that are used before and after the meeting or event. (chairs, tables, kitchen areas).
