S&B QUILTERS’ GUILD

Our mission is to promote quilting and to expand and enhance our knowledge and enjoyment of quilting and quilting techniques in an atmosphere of sharing fellowship. It is also to provide a source of information and inspiration for fellow quilters and to preserve the heritage of quilting. 2022 CABIN FEVER QUILT SHOW

Plans are being made to have the quilt show in March 18th-20th, 2022. More information to come and also check the 2022 Cabin Fever Quilt Show page or email – sbquilters1989@gmail.com.

Our 2022 Raffle Quilt will be on display during the show for you to purchase tickets for the chance to win on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022.

***MEETINGS, PROGRAMS & CLASSES ARE BEING PLANNED***

-Sew Days at Maloney House, Hotchkiss, at the Fairgrounds, all are welcome

Bring your lunch and sewing projects. $2 fee

-2nd Thursday Sew Day, January 13th, 10:00am-2:00pm

-Last Tuesday Sew Day, January 25th, 10:00am-2:00pm

-Saturday, January 8th Guild Meeting

More information on 2022 Challenge and Ugly Fabric – participation is voluntary

-Ugly Fabric – Tammy Marty & Kerry Checketts are heading this up. Bring your fabric in a brown paper bag to the January 8th meeting. You are to have 1/2 yard of dark fabric and 1/2 yard of light fabric. The project is to make a 12 1/2 inch block unfinished. You may pick your pattern. Reveals will be at the June meeting.

-Challenge – Lida Letey & Pattie Timmerwilke are heading this up. This is the 2022 challenge – Birth Month Challenge. Using your month, birth stone, birth flower, zodiac sign – all or just one. You can add any holidays or sayings for your month. This is your choice. The maximum size is 45 inches square. Be creative and have fun. Reveals will be at our July picnic in the park meeting.

-Vet Quilt Sew Days

Vet Quilt Sew Day, the third Monday, of each month.  All are welcome to come and sew.

2022 BLOCK OF THE MONTH

Block of the Month Chairs are Elaine Leigh, Alice McCracken, & Karla Nolte. 

You have 2 blocks to choose from for January. You may make 1 or both. Monthly you may only put your name in once for a drawing. The blocks are 12 1/2 inch square unfinished or you may make adjustments for smaller blocks. The seams are a strict 1/4 inch. The patterns are attached. These patterns are compliments from Virginia Harkleroad(THANK YOU). The 3rd attachment has some quilt info.  If you have questions you may contact Elaine Leigh, Alice McCracken or Karla Nolte. Their email and phone info are on the guild roster. Thank you Elaine, Alice, and Karla.

Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 10:00am the winning ticket was pulled. Our very own quilt guild member, Alice McCracken was the winner. Congratulations!!!

Enchanted Garden by Kim Schaefer. It is a wool hand appliqu├ęd wall hanging 49X49 inches with a wood hanger custom made by Jerry Adams.
